What age are the resources aimed at?

My main focus at the moment is to provide quality lessons for key stage 3 (ages 11-14 years) as I believe these year groups are often overlooked with the current emphasis on GCSE and A-level, so I’m trying to redress the balance.  Having said that, a number of the documentary lessons tie in with the GCSE and A-level units of work, so great for when you need further depth in a topic area.  

Geography is not my specialism but I have to teach it this year.  Will these resources be accessible for me?

Firstly, welcome to the world of geography!  Each lesson is designed to be super easy to follow, even if you don’t have a background in the subject.  There is often extra guidance in the notes section of the Powerpoints if I think somethings needs highlighting.  However, I recognise at times that I may assume people know something because it has become second nature to me, so please feel free to reach out via email (nicola@thegeographyteacherbox.com) and I will be happy to help.

Can you provide resources for my exam spec?

My main focus at the moment is to develop a comprehensive set of units for teaching KS3 (11-14 years) so I’m afraid I won’t be offering GCSE or A-level specifically just yet.

What if I decide to cancel?

I really hope you don’t!  But I know things might change for you, so it’s very straightforward to cancel when you need to, no faffing about!  Simply send me an email (nicola@thegeographyteacherbox.com) preferably 7 days prior to your next payment and let me know.

How will I know what resources there are?

Each month, I’ll update a spreadsheet so you can see at a glance what is available each time you login to the GTB vault.  I also send regular emails to let you know what’s new and help keep you up to date.

Can I share my login with other members in my department?

There are two options - you can sign up for individual use which is great for portability if/when you change schools, but you can't share your login.  Alternatively, you can sign up for a department and resources can be used by each teacher within one school.  If you wish to sign up a number of schools in a Trust, please email me for a bespoke quote.

Do you provide purchase orders?

Yes!  This is a new service I am trialling and there is a form to complete.  Pop me an email (nicola@thegeographyteacherbox.com) and I'll forward it to you.

Will I need a textbook?

I am not affiliated with any publishing companies and the lessons I’ve created are designed so that you don’t need to have a textbook.
